A Ball at the Opera

Observing the annual tradition, the Krakow Opera cordially invites you to celebrate the last night of the passing year together. The title of this year's concert - "Ball at the Opera" - refers not only to the atmosphere that will prevail in the building at ul. Lubicz 48, but also to the tradition of once popular masked balls. The theme of the mask or disguise is also often present in the librettos of popular operas and operettas, therefore, in order to create an atmosphere of champagne fun, a carnival mask will become an obligatory element of the outfit of each guest.

The repertoire includes greatest operetta hits - Strauss, Lehár or Kálmán - but also musical classics, sunny Neapolitan songs and well-known, popular film and stage melodies.

We kindly ask the participants of the concert to bring their own masks - both bought and made by hand. In the absence of this element of disguise, viewers will be required to purchase masks prepared by the Opera.
