description
Concert for the 1000th anniversary of the Crown of the Kingdom of Poland

We propose a performance - a celebration. Performance - a ceremony. The musical path of the identity of Poles from the great moments of creating the modern world of Christian Europe to the falls and enslavements to regaining freedom and building a new identity and sisterhood with the European Union.

The orchestra, ballet and choir of the Krakow Opera will present a mosaic of hymns and emblematic pieces from different stages of the history of the Kingdom and the Republic of Poland, referring to victories, uprisings, spirituality, wars and key historical events that have been creating our identity for a thousand years: since the coronation in 1025.

Musically, we will propose chorales, hymns, songs and their symphonic versions, from Bogurodzica through Boże coś Polskę to Mury or Beethoven's 9th Symphony, i.e. the Hymn of a United Europe.
