Opera and wine have always gone hand in hand, and glasses filled with this noble drink often appear in theaters. Be it in the libretto, or in the artistic vision of the producers, or in the hands of music lovers, served in the interludes of performances.

By preparing a new series of meetings at the Krakow Opera, we want to show you how often and in what an interesting way wine can appear in the world of opera.

During the following evenings, the soloists of our theater will present selected fragments of the most beautiful operas and operettas. Wojciech Giebuta - sommelier, wine journalist and guide of wine and opera trips will talk about grape varieties, regions, producers and their relationship with music. For each meeting, we will invite a special guest associated with our stage, who will familiarize the audience with the secrets of the opera theater - from behind the scenes and from the kitchen.
