Adam Sobierajski

In 2005, he graduated with distinction from the Academy of Music in Katowice as a member of the singing class of Professor Alicja Słowakiewicz-Wolańska. At present, he is a soloist of the Krakow Opera and the Silesian Opera in Bytom. He is a laureate of the 4th and 2nd prize at the Iwona Borowicka Operetta Competition in Krakow (in 2006 and 2008). In year 2008, he was awarded a distinction and 4 special prizes (including the Best Tenor) at the International Adam Didur Opera Singers’ Competition in Bytom. He is also the 3rd prize winner at the 1st European Tenor Competition in Sosnowiec (2009). In 2014, he made an appearance in the musical show of TVP2 channel “SuperSTARt”, representing opera as the music genre.
 
He has performed as a guest at the Wrocław Opera, the Nova Opera in Bydgoszcz, as well as the Grand Theatre in Łódź. He also gives frequent concerts, appearing in such locations as the Polish National Radio Symphony Orchestra in Katowice and the Philharmonic Orchestras of Zabrze, Silesia, Krakow, Łódź, Bydgoszcz, Płock, Toruń and Olsztyn.
 
His repertoire includes mainly opera roles, such as Tamino (Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart - “The Magic Flute”), Don Ottavio (Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart - “Don Giovanni”), Almaviva (Gioacchino Rossini - “The Barber of Seville”), Don Narcisione (Gioacchino Rossini - “The Turk in Italy”), Nemorino (Gaetano Donizetti - “The Love Potion”), Leicester (Gaetano Donizetti - “Mary Stuart”), Alfredo (Giuseppe Verdi - “La Traviata”), Lenski (Pyotr Tchaikovsky - “Eugene Onegin”), Rodolfo (Giacomo Puccini - “La Bohème”) and operetta parts, including Adam (Carl Zeller - “The Bird Seller”), Sou-Chong (Franz Lehár – “The Land of Smiles”), Tassilo (Imre Kálmán – “Countess Maritza”), Edwin (Imre Kálmán – “The Riviera Girl”), Barinkay (Johann Strauss – “The Gypsy Baron”).
