A production of Teatro Petruzzelli and the Krakow Opera in the beautiful setting of the Wawel Royal Castle!

“Bona Sforza” is a new contemporary classical opera in two acts dedicated to Queen Bona of Aragon, the result of an international collaboration between Kraków and Bari. The joint work on the performance aims to portray the great historical figure, her life, the cultural and political context of the time and to build a real cooperation between the cities: Bari-Kraków.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

The Krakow Opera, as organiser of the event ‘Bona Sforza at the Wawel Castle’, reserves the right to reschedule the event in the event of adverse weather conditions. The organiser will announce a new date for the event.

 
As ‘Bona Sforza at the Wawel Castle’ is an open-air event, please note:

1. Seats in the arcaded courtyard of the Wawel Castle are numbered – so please take the seat indicated on your ticket;

2. Information regarding any changes to the performance date will be posted on our information channels (website, Facebook, Instagram) on the day of the scheduled event (by 2.00 pm);

3. On hot days, remember to stay hydrated – take an extra bottle of water with you;

4. There will be a café open at Wawel where you can have something to eat or drink;

5. You may bring a guide dog or assistance dog – the dog should be wearing a harness and clearly marked as your assistance dog. Remember to bring water and the relevant certificate confirming your four-legged companion’s eligibility;

6. We have set aside special, easily accessible seats for wheelchair users – you can book these at the Krakow Opera box office (CONTACT: tel. +48 12 296 62 60, +48 12 296 62 61, email: [email protected], [email protected]);

7. This year, when buying tickets for our outdoor events, you can take advantage of a discount for people with disabilities and their carers. When purchasing a ticket and entering the event, please show your ID card entitling you to the discount;

8. If you need assistance getting to the Wawel Castle, please contact us. We’ll pick you up from the nearest public transport stop and help you get to the venue. To book assistance, please contact us no later than five days before the event you wish to attend (CONTACT: email: [email protected])

9. At the Wawel Castel, you can use the toilet for people with disabilities;

10. It is advisable to dress appropriately for the weather, whilst observing the dress code in force at events at the Krakow Opera. Please also ensure that your clothing does not block the view of other audience members or cause any other disruption;

11. When it’s raining, you can use a rain cape – if you don’t have one with you, you can get one from the auditorium staff;

12. By choosing public transport, you’ll find it easier to get there and avoid parking problems;

13. There are parking spaces for people with disabilities in the vicinity of Wawel Castle – you can obtain information about these from the accessibility coordinator at the Krakow Opera (CONTACT: email: [email protected]);

14. Do not record the performance or any part thereof without the written consent of the Director of the Krakow Opera.
